The University of Houston volleyball team wrapped up its spring scrimmage season on April 17 when the team traveled to Fort Worth, Texas for four scrimmages.
Houston started the day against North Texas, continued against Ole Miss and Oklahoma and concluded the day against Kansas. Despite dropping matches to all four teams, first year head coach Molly Alvey saw a lot of positives in the weekend.
"Right now, we are focused on finding ways to compete at a higher level in addressing attitude and approach to team chemistry," Alvey said. "We have made strides this spring, but continue to make that a focus as we come together as a program. We all realize that we have a lot of work to do but know that we will hold each other accountable in making that happen."
Preseason workouts for the 2010 season begin on Aug 10 through Aug. 23.
